Uttar Pradesh News : ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕੈਰਾਨਾ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਖੇਲਾਕਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸਲਮਾਨ ਸੈਫੀ (30) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਭੱਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਖੀ। ਚਸ਼ਮਦੀਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਉਸਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੋ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੋ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸਲਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ, ਗੁਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਸੀ।
ਸੈਫੀ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਗੁਲਿਸਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਾਣੀਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਡੀ ‘ਤੇ ਕੇਲੇ ਵੇਚਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੈਰਾਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਭੈਣ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਭਾਬੀ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਘਰੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ, ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ 12 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਕ, ਅੱਠ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਇਨਾਇਤਾ, ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੀਫਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਨਯਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਗੁਲਿਸਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਲਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਨੁਮਾ ਦਾ ਮੁਜ਼ੱਫਰਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਬੁਢਾਨਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਜੌਲਾ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਬੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਭਗ ਸੱਤ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸਬੰਧ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਲਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਨੁਮਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ।

ਵੀਡੀਓ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਮਾਨ ਸੈਫੀ ਦੀ ਫੋਟੋ ਦਿਖਾਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੇ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਲ ਮਾਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਗੋਤਾਖੋਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਜਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਗਭਗ 10 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਸਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਕੈਰਾਨਾ ਥਾਣਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰੀ।

To our children?” he lamented in the clip, before sending it to his sister, Gulista, as a final cry for help.Moments later, Salman led his children—Mahak (12), Shifa (5), Aman (3), and the youngest, Inaisha (8 months)—to the Yamuna bridge in the Shikohabad area. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic: the father, sobbing uncontrollably, hoisted the infants and leaped into the murky waters below around 11 a.m. on October 3.Gulista, upon receiving the video, alerted local authorities, who mobilized a massive response. Divers from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and Uttar Pradesh Police have been combing the riverbanks relentlessly. As of Sunday evening, however, no trace of Salman or the children has been found, with rising water levels complicating the efforts.
This is a tragedy beyond words,” said Firozabad Superintendent of Police, Akhilesh Singh, addressing reporters at the site. “We’re leaving no stone unturned. The video has been crucial in piecing together the timeline, and we’re also investigating the wife’s whereabouts to prevent further escalation.”Family members painted a picture of a marriage fraying at the edges. “They argued a lot in the last few months,” Gulista told media outlets, her eyes red from days of vigil. “Salman suspected something was wrong, but he never imagined it would end like this. Those poor babies—they didn’t deserve this.”The incident has ignited urgent conversations around mental health, marital discord, and the silent cries for help in strained households. Local NGOs have stepped in to counsel the extended family, while authorities urge anyone in similar distress to reach out to helplines like the Uttar Pradesh Police’s 112 emergency service.Khushnuma remains at large, with police vowing to apprehend her and her lover for questioning.
