ਅਲਾਹਾਬਾਦ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਸਵਾਮੀ ਅਵੀਮੁਕਤੇਸ਼ਵਰਾਨੰਦ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਰੋਕ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਅਹਿਮ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ’ਤੇ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਨੇ ਦਲੀਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਰਾਖਵਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਮਾਰਚ ਦੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਇਹ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਆਂਪਾਲਿਕਾ ‘ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਜਤਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼ੰਕਰਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਦੇ ਮੱਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਇਆ।
High Court Stays Arrest of Shankaracharya in Sexual Abuse Case; Decision on Bail Reserved
The Allahabad High Court on Friday granted interim relief to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati by staying his arrest in a case registered under the POCSO Act and other sections related to sexual harassment. The case stems from allegations involving the exploitation of two minors at an ashram.
While the court has protected the religious leader from immediate arrest, it has reserved its judgment on his anticipatory bail plea after hearing arguments from both sides. The Swami has consistently denied the charges, labeling them as “fabricated” and “baseless,” and even expressed a willingness to undergo a narco-analysis test to prove his innocence.
