Maninderjit Singh Bedi will be the new Advocate General
The Punjab Government has appointed Maninderjit Singh Bedi as the new Advocate General. Anu Chhatrath has been appointed as Senior Additional Advocate General. Additionally, 215 law officers have been given extensions.
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਏਜੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਕਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮਨਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੇਦੀ (Maninderjit Singh Bedi) ਨੂੰ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਜਨਰਲ (Advocate General) ਵਜੋਂ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰ ਵਕਤ ਹੀ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਗੁਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥੋ-ਹੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਏਜੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤਰਫ਼ੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਨਵੇਂ ਏਜੀ ਦਾ ਨੋਟੀਫ਼ਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਨਵੇਂ ਏਜੀ Maninderjit Singh Bedi ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਨ। ਵੇਰਵਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਵੇਂ ਏਜੀ ਬੇਦੀ ਰਾਮਪੁਰਾ ਫੂਲ ਦੇ ਮਰਹੂਮ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਦਾ ਜੀ ਵੀ ਮੰਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੰਨੇ ਵਕੀਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਨਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੇਦੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਰਾਮਪੁਰਾ ਫੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 2015-16 ਤੋਂ ਹਾਈਕੋਰਟ ’ਚ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟਿਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਦਾ ਕਿੱਤਾ ਸਾਲ 2004-05 ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
