Air India confirms an incident involving Flight AI2802 operating from Bengaluru to Delhi on 21 May 2026.
During the aircraft’s final approach into Delhi, the cockpit crew received a fire indication from one of the engines. The indication was subsequently confirmed as true. The crew followed all standard operating procedures and landed the aircraft safely at Delhi airport. All passengers and crew are safe and have disembarked normally.

ਬੰਗਲੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਇੰਜਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ‘ਤੇ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਲੈਂਡਿੰਗ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਈ। ਏਅਰ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਬਿਆਨ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ A320 ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਇਹ ਬੰਗਲੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਫਲਾਈਟ AI2802 ਸੀ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ‘ਤੇ ਉਤਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਆਖਰੀ ਪੜਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਾਕਪਿਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਲਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਇੰਜਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਵੀ ਹੋਈ। ਖ਼ਤਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਿਊ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਉਤਾਰ ਲਿਆ।
