New Zealand PM Luxon’s BIG Remark on Khalistan Movement
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਟੋਫਰ ਲਕਸਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੇ ਦਾਇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਹਿੰਸਾ, ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ Christopher Luxon ਨੇ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਮੁੱਦੇ ‘ਤੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ, ਹਿੰਸਾ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦਕਿ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਭਿਵਿਆਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
ਲਕਸਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕਦੇ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਰੈਫਰੈਂਡਮ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said the Khalistan issue will not affect New Zealand’s relationship with India, stressing that his government is committed to maintaining strong bilateral ties while upholding New Zealand’s democratic values. His remarks came ahead of Narendra Modi’s official visit to New Zealand, during a period of closer cooperation between the two countries.
According to reports, Luxon said that New Zealand will not tolerate intimidation, violence, or any criminal behaviour connected to the Khalistan issue. At the same time, he emphasized that New Zealand is a democracy where freedom of expression and peaceful protest are protected under the law. He made it clear that anyone breaking the law would face action regardless of their political views.
