ਮੇਰਠ: ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮੇਰਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਥਿਤ “ਲਵ ਜਿਹਾਦ” ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਮੋੜ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਦਾਵਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਲਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਈ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਤੱਥ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਕੁਲ ਗੁਰਜਰ ਨਾਮਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ, ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ 19 ਸਾਲਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕੁੜੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਸਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਬਲੈਕਮੇਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਮੇਰਠ ਦੇ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਐਕਸਟੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਕੁਲ ਗੁਰਜਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰ ਰੋਕੀ ਗਈ। ਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ੀਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਹਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸਵਾਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਦਾਵਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾਬਾਲਿਗ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਬਰ-ਜਨਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਟੈਸਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ ਕਿ ਕੁੜੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 19 ਸਾਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਜ਼ਬਰ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਦੇ ਸਬੂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇ।
ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਨਕੁਲ ਗੁਰਜਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਪੂਰੇ ਡਰਾਮੇ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਸਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਵਸੂਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ “ਲਵ ਜਿਹਾਦ” ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਨਤਕ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਨਕੁਲ ਗੁਰਜਰ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ‘ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਆਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਹੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਕਸੂਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਸਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵੀ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

**Meerut, Uttar Pradesh:** A case initially presented as an alleged “Love Jihad” incident in Meerut has reportedly taken a dramatic turn after police investigations raised questions about the original claims. Nakul Gurjar, a resident of Meerut who has been associated with Hindu nationalist organizations in the past, has been accused of allegedly orchestrating a scheme involving a 19-year-old woman to entrap Muslim youths and create a communal controversy.
According to reports, the incident took place in the Jagriti Vihar Extension area of Meerut, where Nakul Gurjar and his associates allegedly stopped a car carrying two young men identified as Zeeshan and Shahwaz. The men were accused of abducting a Hindu woman and sexually exploiting her. Police were called to the scene, and the two youths were subsequently detained.
Initial allegations claimed that the woman was a minor and had been sexually assaulted. However, during the investigation and medical examination conducted by police, it was reportedly determined that the woman was 19 years old and that there was no evidence of physical assault or rape.
Following further questioning by investigators, the woman, identified as Bhavna, allegedly revealed that she had been offered ₹100,000 and the promise of a job by Nakul Gurjar to participate in the operation. According to these claims, she was instructed to befriend and lure Muslim youths so that they could later be accused, blackmailed for money, and portrayed as part of a “Love Jihad” narrative.
Investigators reportedly began examining whether the alleged objective was threefold: to gain publicity by portraying Gurjar as a defender of Hindu women, to generate negative publicity against Muslims, and to extort money from the accused individuals through threats and false allegations.
The case has sparked widespread discussion on social media and in local political circles. Critics argue that if the allegations are proven true, the incident would represent a serious misuse of communal narratives, an attempt to falsely implicate innocent individuals, and an effort to exploit religious tensions for personal gain.
