ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਦੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਹੱਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੇਠ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ “ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ” ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਭਾਈ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਿੱਝਰ ਦੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਾਤਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਸਬੂਤ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਅਟਾਰਨੀ ਜਨਰਲ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਕੀਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਫੈਡਰਲ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾਵੇ, ਇਹ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ “ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਕੇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਇਸ ਕਤਲ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਅਸਧਾਰਣ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਫੈਡਰਲ ਵਕੀਲ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਕਸਰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਕਤਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੜੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਗੱਲਬਾਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਨੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।
ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਐਫ.ਬੀ.ਆਈ. ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਏਜੰਟ ਨਿਖਿਲ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਪੱਖੀ ਕਾਰਕੁਨ ਗੁਰਪਤਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੰਨੂ ਦੀ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਫੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੁਰਮ ਵੀ ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਬੂਲ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ
