ਫਗਵਾੜਾ, 30 ਮਈ – ਇਥੋ ਦੇ ਮਹੇੜੂ ਦੇ ਗੇਟ ਨੇੜੇ ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਫੈਲ ਗਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਆਰ.ਟੀ.ਆਈ,. ਕਾਰਕੁਨ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਅ ਗੇਟ ਨੇੜੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਲਾ ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਲਾਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੇੜਿਓਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਦਮ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਿਆ ਮੁੱਦਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਰਟੀਆਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾਇਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਵਾਦਪੂਰਨ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦਾਇਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।

ਇਕ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਾਤਲਾਨਾ ਹਮਲਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੇਸ ਥਾਣਾ ਮਕਸੂਦਾਂ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ।ਉਸ ਸਮੈ ਇਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ 9 ਵਜੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਿਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਦੋ ਅਣਪਛਾਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਫਾਇਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।
