Police personnel asked Gurudwara representatives not to let protesters in and to let them do their work. As the representatives denied, police personnel backed off. One of the representatives told The Hindu, “We won’t let police enter the premises. Protesters are unarmed and not raising slogans inside the premises, so we are not against them,”

ਇਮਰਾਨ ਖਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾਕਾਰਾ ਜੀਨ ਮੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ‘ਚ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੰਸਟਾਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਕਾਊਂਟ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ‘ਚੋਂ ਇਕ ‘ਚ ਉਹ ਇਮਰਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੈਨ ‘ਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਹ ਇਮਰਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦੀ ਹੈ, “ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਹੋ?” ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਇਮਰਾਨ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, “ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਪਵੇ।”

Regarding the video circulated on social media, alleging entry by police staff in Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, wherein some police staff is shown wearing shoes

In the circulated video some police staff is shown walking in the common passage, used by all devotees to reach the point where shoes are taken off to enter the Gurdwara.
The process is the same for all devotees coming to Gurdwara. The video showing the same is attached.

The video has been circulated deliberately with malicious intent, to outrage the feelings of a respectable religious community and is prejudicial to the religious harmony.
Legal action is being initiated.
