ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ, ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਟੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸ. ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜ੍ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਰਜੀਵੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਈਨ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਵਾਰੀਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਕਦੇ ਈਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨੀ।
ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੁਹਰਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਭੀਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ 550 ਸਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਗੁਰਪੁਰਬ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਾਲ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਉਮਰ ਕੈਦ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਤਰਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਟਕਿਆ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਨਬੇੜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕਰੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਕੈਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜੋ 32 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਾਣ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਝੁਕਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਬਲਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਭਾਈ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਵਾਰਾ ਦੇ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਤੇ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਮਾਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਪੈਰੋਲ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੀ ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਰਾਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਛੇ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਾਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਲ 2019 ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਅੰਦਰ 41 ਤਰੀਕਾਂ ਪੈ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ।
ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ 2 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਰਚ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਇੱਥੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਘਾਣ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਦਿਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ਼ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਉਸੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਘਾਣ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਵਿਤਕਰਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਡੇਰਾ ਸਿਰਸਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਰਾਮ ਰਹੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਐਵੇਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਬੀਆਂ ਫੜਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਅ ਕਰੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ-ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੇਕ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੈ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

Sikh Delegation Led by Akal Takht Jathedar Meets Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana in Patiala Jail, Calls for Decision on Long-Pending Case
Patiala, September 29: A high-level Sikh delegation led by Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, today met living martyr Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, who is lodged in Central Jail Patiala and faces a death sentence. The delegation comprised Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Tek Singh and SGPC member Surjit Singh Garhi.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj said Sikh history contained numerous examples of martyrs who were offered the choice of submitting to the rulers in return for having their lives spared. However, Sikh tradition and history recorded that Sikhs had accepted martyrdom but never surrendered.
Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj said Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana was also following this Sikh tradition and had made it clear that he did not want to beg for mercy to save his life. He said the Centre government had not implemented its own notification issued in 2019 on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji concerning Bhai Rajoana.
He said Bhai Rajoana was not pleading for commutation of his death sentence to life imprisonment, but the government should resolve his long-pending case. Bhai Rajoana said the government should either hang him or take a decision in his case. He added that there was no other prisoner in Indian jails like Bhai Rajoana, who had remained incarcerated for 32 years and whose human rights had been violated on such a large scale.
Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj said Bhai Rajoana was in high spirits and remained completely devoted to the Guru. He said Bhai Rajoana had made it clear that he would not bow down and was prepared to embrace martyrdom. He added that Bhai Rajoana had also expressed concern over the fundamental rights of Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, who was not even being granted parole to meet his elderly and ailing mother. Such treatment by governments amounted to grave injustice to Sikhs, he said.
Jathedar Gargajj said that if the governments failed to take a timely decision in Bhai Rajoana’s case, a meeting of the Panj Singh Sahiban would be convened to pave the way for further action. He said the meeting would take an appropriate decision in accordance with Bhai Rajoana’s sentiments.
He said that the Centre government has not taken any decision in the case of Bhai Rajoana for the last six years even after getting time from the Supreme Court to take a decision. He said that since the year 2019 till now, 41 dates have been allotted in the Supreme Court in this case but the Centre government has not taken any decision.
Replying to a question about the march being organised on October 2 for the release of Bandi Singhs, Jathedar Gargajj said that just as the SGPC had supported the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha, Sri Akal Takht Sahib also fully supported it.
Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj said the media and press also had a duty to speak with open heart about the human rights violations taking place in this regard and to publish maximum reports on the issue. He said that in the same country where the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, had sacrificed his life for religious freedom, the human rights of his Sikh followers were being violated on a large scale.
He said Sikh prisoners were not even being given an opportunity to meet their mothers. Sikhs needed to reflect on why such discrimination was being meted out to them, he said.
On the other hand, the Jathedar said, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was repeatedly released from jail after short intervals, as though he had been handed the keys to the prison and could leave whenever he wished. He said that Ram Rahim was released several times a year, while Sikhs also had equal rights in the country and were being subjected to injustice.
Jathedar Gargajj said Sikhs placed their faith solely in the Akal Purakh (Almighty) and said that the governments here had no concern for the rights and interests of Sikhs.
